Are Hit Box cheating?
Hot Take Hitboxes are cheating and shouldn't be the main controller of use for fighting games. It's like using a xim on a console to play m+k. It's emulating a controller, but you are still getting a massive advantage over console controller players it's why most companies ban them when they're being used on console.
The only controller that was banned at CB was the specific box-type controller which Daigo had popularized. All Hit Boxes and other box-type controllers were allowed.

With a joystick, there is more travel time as you have to wait for it to go back to neutral (middle) after inputting a direction. However, with a Hitbox, you can hit left and right buttons to signify a neutral position.
One of the worst kept secrets in all of fighting games is that the Hit Box is not only the best Tekken 7 fight stick alternative but the best controller for Tekken period. It has more precision than a standard fight stick or PS4 pad, and it is also built to be better for the hands.
The decision to ban Daigo Umehara's GafroBox at Combo Breaker got a lot of people in the fighting game community talking about Hit Box controllers, either their perceived unfairness in general or fear that Hit Box adopters will have to go back to more traditional hardware.
It is currently legal at major Super Smash Bros. and fighting game events, such as Genesis, Smash World Tour, and EVO.
The Hit Box is currently only compatible with PS4 games being played on the PS5 (in addition to the compatibility mentioned above in "Features & Details").
